		<description>I remember college I think they called it - web services?  Yes.  It was suppose to take over completely in a few years and pretty much make everyones computer a dumb terminal, with all computing power being within the cloud.

Not sure I want to give up that kind of power and privacy yet though!  But definately some big changes in the past few years.

		<description>there are many sites that are available now that do things that years ago only local applications could do. For example, Google Docs and Zoho allow people access to Microsoft Office type functionality all from within a web page. they are free and no downloads are required. soon we will not have to install anything on our computers - it will all be in the cloud.</description>
